An orientation program for first-year students of the 2025–2026 academic year was organized by the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Tarsus University, on Tuesday, September 23.

Within the scope of the program, students had the opportunity to meet the department’s academic staff and were informed about the sub-disciplines, course plans, and laboratory facilities. In addition, they were provided with guidance on the professional and personal competencies they need to acquire during their engineering education, as well as the pathways to follow in order to become successful engineers after graduation.

During the event, students were also informed about participating in national and international project calls, engaging in scientific and technological festivals, and supporting their academic and professional development through such activities.

The aim of this program was to facilitate students’ adaptation to the department and help them begin their academic journey with greater awareness and preparation.
